1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings, services, and products provided by Almasi Africa, a Tanzanian travel company offering adventure safari services, Kilimanjaro trekking services, Zanzibar holiday packages, and cultural tour experiences. By making a booking with us, you (“the Client” or “Customer”) agree to abide by these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
2. Definitions
- “Almasi Africa” refers to Almasi Africa Travel Company, the operator of the services offered.
- “Client” or “Customer” refers to the person or entity booking or participating in the services offered by Almasi Africa.
- “Booking” refers to the process of reserving services with Almasi Africa, including but not limited to safaris, trekking, cultural tours, and holidays.
- “Tour” refers to any of the travel packages, excursions, or tours that Almasi Africa offers.
- “Services” refers to any and all products and services provided by Almasi Africa, including guided tours, transportation, accommodation, and activity bookings.
3. Booking & Reservations

3.1 Making a Booking
All bookings must be made through Almasi Africa’s official website, email, or by direct contact with one of our representatives. By making a booking, the Client agrees to these Terms. -
3.2 Booking Confirmation
Bookings are confirmed once the Client receives a written confirmation from Almasi Africa, typically following payment of a deposit (usually 30% of the total tour cost). The remaining balance is due 30 days before the scheduled departure date unless otherwise stated. -
3.3 Group Bookings
For group bookings (more than 6 participants), a signed group booking agreement may be required, and additional terms may apply.
4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Methods
Payments for bookings can be made via:- Bank Transfer (USD, EUR, or local currency)
- Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard)
- Cash (local currency or USD)
All payments are processed securely.

4.2 Payment Schedule
- A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- The remaining balance is due 30 days before departure for all services.
- If booking is made within 30 days of the departure date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

4.3 Price Changes
Almasi Africa reserves the right to change prices due to fluctuations in exchange rates, inflation, or other external factors. Any price changes will be communicated to the Client in advance.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

5.1 Client Cancellations
- Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to departure: 75% refund of the total cost.
- Cancellations made 30–59 days prior to departure: 50% refund of the total cost.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to departure: No refund.

5.2 Force Majeure
In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Almasi Africa (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, pandemics), we may cancel or modify the tour. In such cases, we will offer an alternative or a full refund, but not for any additional costs incurred by the Client (e.g., flights, accommodation). -
5.3 Refund Process
Refunds will be processed through the original payment method and may take 15–30 business days, depending on the method of payment.
6. Travel Insurance

6.1 Requirement for Travel Insurance
It is highly recommended that all Clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, lost baggage, travel delays, and any activities undertaken during the trip, such as safaris, trekking, or water sports. -
6.2 Almasi Africa’s Responsibility
Almasi Africa does not provide travel insurance and cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, or expenses incurred due to the absence of adequate travel insurance.
7. Health & Safety

7.1 Health Requirements
Clients must be in good health and physically capable of undertaking the activities included in their itinerary, such as trekking, safaris, and cultural tours. Specific health and fitness requirements may apply, particularly for Kilimanjaro treks. -
7.2 Medical Clearance
For certain activities, such as Kilimanjaro trekking, Clients may be required to provide a medical certificate confirming they are fit to participate. Almasi Africa may request additional health assessments before booking. -
7.3 Safety Measures
All tours and activities are led by professional guides trained in first aid and emergency procedures. Almasi Africa complies with Tanzanian safety regulations for all activities. Clients must follow all safety instructions provided by our guides.
8. Travel Documents & Visas

8.1 Valid Travel Documents
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate and valid travel documents (passport, visa, etc.) for travel to Tanzania. -
8.2 Visas
It is the responsibility of the Client to obtain any necessary visas for Tanzania. Almasi Africa can provide guidance on visa requirements, but we are not responsible for obtaining visas for the Client.
9. Responsibilities of the Client

9.1 Compliance with Local Laws and Customs
Clients must comply with the local laws, customs, and regulations during their travels in Tanzania. This includes respecting local cultures, traditions, and the environment. -
9.2 Personal Behavior
Clients agree to act in a manner that does not disrupt the enjoyment of others or put others at risk. Almasi Africa reserves the right to terminate a tour if the Client’s behavior is deemed unacceptable.
10. Responsibilities of Almasi Africa

10.1 Provision of Services
Almasi Africa agrees to provide the services as described in the booking confirmation, subject to availability and in accordance with these Terms. -
10.2 Changes to Services
In rare cases, due to unforeseen circumstances, Almasi Africa reserves the right to modify or cancel elements of the itinerary. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative services of similar quality.
11. Changes to Bookings

11.1 Modifications by the Client
If the Client wishes to change the date, time, or any part of the booking, they must notify Almasi Africa in writing. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. -
11.2 Changes by Almasi Africa
In the event that Almasi Africa makes significant changes to the itinerary (e.g., change of accommodation, tour guide, or route), we will inform the Client as soon as possible and offer alternatives, or a refund if no suitable alternative is available.
12. Tour Conduct & Behavior

12.1 Client Behavior
The Client agrees to adhere to the code of conduct set by Almasi Africa, which includes acting respectfully towards fellow travelers, guides, and local communities. -
12.2 Alcohol & Drugs
Excessive consumption of alcohol or the use of illegal drugs is prohibited during tours. Almasi Africa reserves the right to remove any Client from a tour if their behavior is deemed disruptive or unsafe.
13. Liability

13.1 Limitation of Liability
Almasi Africa is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property during the tour, unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct on our part. Clients participate in all activities at their own risk. -
13.2 Indemnity
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Almasi Africa, its staff, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, damage, or expenses incurred during the trip.
14. Force Majeure
- Almasi Africa shall not be held liable for any failure to perform or delay in performance due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil disturbances, pandemics, government regulations, or strikes.
15. Privacy & Data Protection

15.1 Data Collection
Almasi Africa collects personal information (e.g., name, contact details, payment information) to process bookings and provide services. We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. -
15.2 Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security due to the inherent nature of the internet.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

16.1 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tanzania. -
16.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through amicable negotiations. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to mediation or arbitration in Tanzania.
17. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
- Almasi Africa reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes prior to booking.
